An FIR was also filed against the show by a journalist who claimed that the series hurt his religious sentiments and portrayed the district poorly.

"I think at least the content that we watch on OTT platform should be free from censorship. At least this should be a space where storytellers can find their original voice fearlessly. She feels people creating content for digital platforms need to be disciplined and they should not show just about anything to the audience in the name of creativity.
