Primary classes to reopen in This state from January 27, detailed guidelines to be issued soon

The government of Punjab has finally decided to reopen primary classes at all schools from January 27, several months after they were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this month, the state government had reopened schools for Classes 5 to 12. “Following persistent demand of parents, the state government has decided to reopen all schools for primary classes from January 27, ” Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla said in a statement here.

Need to defend universities as free spaces: Vice President M Hamid Ansari

The freedom of our Universities has been challenged by "narrow considerations" and there is need to defend them as "free spaces" and as sources of renewal of liberal values, Vice President M Hamid Ansari said on Saturday.
