IAF pilots fly Mikoyan MiG-35 fighter at Russia's MAKS 2019, check out Sukhoi Su-57E

Russia unveiled an entirely new MiG-35 fighter along with the Su-57E at MAKS 2019 in a bid to attract new customers and also retain its hold on countries already flying Russian fighters including India. Russia claims the upgraded and improved MiG-35 on display at MAKS 2019 is the export version of the jet and very close to 5th Generation fighters.

Sukhoi Su-35 and Su-57E: Turkey may buy Russian fighters after losing the F-35 Lightning II to US sanction

Russia's Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Director Dmitry Shugayev said on Wednesday that Turkey had initiated talks for buying the Sukhoi Su-35 and Su-57 fighters as the F-35 was no longer within its reach following the US sanction over S-400 Triumf air defence missile system.

Turkey first country to check out Sukhoi Su-57E as Russia showcases the stealth fighter to the world at MAKS-2019

Turkey has been eyeing the Sukhoi Su-57 after the United States of America threw it out of the 5th Generation stealth fighter F-35 Lightning II programme over its decision to go ahead with Russian S-400 Triumf anti-air defence system. Russia, too, is exploring the opportunity to export the Su-57 which has been combat-tested during in Syria in early 2018.

Sukhoi Su-57E to be unveiled on Tuesday, Russia keen to sell the fighter to IAF

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa has made it clear that the IAF will only think about the Su-57E once the fighter joins the Russian Aerospace Force. Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov had in 2019 said that many nations including India would be interested in the supersonic fighter.

Both Sukhoi Su-57E and Il-112VE light military transport aircraft have been cleared for export with the mandatory permits. With a reduced radar and infrared signature, the Su-57 enjoys unparalled advantage over the 4th and 4++ Generation fighters currently in service with the air forces around the world, according to Rosoboronexport and Sukhoi Aircraft Company.
