Essar Group is not going to exit oil and gas business: Prashant Ruia
After striking the deal to sell its oil refinery to Russia's Rosneft and partners for USD 12.9 billion, the debt-laden Essar Group has said it is not exiting the oil and gas business and the sale has helped to deleverage half of the Rs 88,000 crore debt at the holding company level.

Billionaire Ruia brothers are likely to sign this weekend a USD 7 billion deal to sell most of their holding in the flagship Essar Oil Ltd to Russian giant Rosneft PJSC, commodities trader Trafigura Group Pte and some financial investors.
