India’s first underwater metro tunnel in Kolkata to get ready by 2023
India’s first underwater tunnel corridor is built 33 meters below the riverbed of Hooghly river and will provide metro connectivity from Kolkata to Howrah by 2023, said offiials.

India's first underwater train started in Kolkata which will go through a tunnel built inside Hooghly river. It will connect Kolkata to Howrah. Experts from Russia and Thailand also gave their inputs to built this underwater tunnel successfully inside the Hooghly river.
