Russia's Sukhoi Su-27, Su-30 intercept, shoot videos of US B-1B Lancers over Black and Baltic Seas
The skies over the neutral waters of Black and Baltic Seas saw some action on Friday (May 29, 2020) when Russian Sukhoi Su-27P and Su-30M combat aircraft intercepted the United States of Amerca Air Force B-1B Lancer strategic bombers. The Sukhoi fighters were launched after the B-1B bombers were detected by the Russian Western and Southern military districts radars.

A P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft of the United States of America Navy was intercepted by two Russian Sukhoi Su-35 fighters above the Mediterranean Sea on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. The two Russian fighters sandwiched the US P-8A aircraft between themselves and came extremely close to the American plane for more than an hour.

Russia scrambled its 4++ Generation twin-engine Su-35 fighter from Syria's Hmeymim airbase for the intercept after tracking the US P-8A aircraft. During the second intercept, the Su-35 came within 25 feet of the P-8A, claimed the US Navy.
