India contracts to export 50,000 tonnes sugar, first major deal in months
Indian sugar mills have contracted to export 50,000 tonnes of white sugar to Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan at USD 340-USD 345 a tonne, free on board, trade sources said, the first major deal in the past few months.

Govt could consider white sugar export incentive: Paswan
India could consider giving cash-strapped sugar companies an incentive to export white, or refined, sugar as long as mills agree to pay dues they owe to millions of cane growers, Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said on Wednesday.
