Income Tax dept to block PAN, LPG subsidy, loans of defaulters
In order to cripple and check the activities of wilful tax defaulters, the Income Tax department has decided to “block” Permanent Account Number (PAN) of such entities, get their LPG subsidy cancelled, and take measures to ensure that they are not sanctioned loans.

CBDT makes public names of 18 tax defaulters who owe Rs 500 crore
Adopting an aggressive approach to increase tax collection, the revenue department for the first time publically named 18 tax defaulters - including Goldsukh Trade and Somani Cements - who owe over Rs 500 crore to the exchequer.
