Chandigarh, Jan 30: There seems to be no end to the controversies surrounding the love story of Haryana`s former deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohammad, as his wife Fiza on Friday rubbished reports about her suicide attempt.
The development comes a day after it was reported that Fiza has attempted to suicide by consuming poison.
“I have not attempted suicide, I can’t do that since I am a very bold person, Fiza said while interacting with the reporters at her residence.
Defending herself, Fiza said, “When I can face media and all the ups and downs in my life, I can also handle any situation. I can not take such a big step.”
Making her point further, Fiza maintained that she had not eaten anything as she was interacting with media and was not feeling well. She further explained that she had a serious head ache and back pain and in order to get relief she took some medicine, which led to a decline in her health.
Fiza also categorically rejected reports of any rift with her husband and denied having made any contacts with her missing husband.
“There was no fight with Chand. I had not talked to him,” she said, while adding, “There is no need to lodge any FIR against him, why should I?
“Police is trying to trace him, God knows what is happening. Sometimes they say he is in Karnal, at the other he is spotted in Delhi. The least I can do is lodge an FIR about my missing husband, which I have already done,” she stated.
On Thursday, Fiza’s family members found her lying in a subconscious state and she was rushed to a nearby government hospital for medical aid.
It was belived that Fiza might have taken a larger dose of sleeping pills to end her life.
Fiza is reportedly unhappy over the disapproval of her marriage by Chander Mohan’s family. Chander Mohan, who had converted to Islam to marry a second time, is the son of former Harayana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal.
Fiza had earlier blamed her brother-in-law Kuldeep Bishnoi and Chander Mohan’s first wife Seema of being behind the kidnapping of her husband since the family had not approved their marriage.
However, Bishnoi categorically denied the allegation.
In a dramatic turn of event, Chand Mohammad called Zee News and said that he is safe and will return home soon.
But, the fact remains that Chander Mohan had not yet returned home. This might have put in apprehensions in Fiza’s mind leading her to take such a drastic step.
