New Delhi: Ticket booking on the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) platform is set to become faster minus the kinks experienced in the current format.
Soon, IRCTC Connect will be relaunched with a new name IRCTC Rail Connect and offer added features improving the performance of the app.
As per the news agency PTI, IRCTC is set to launch the app next week. It said that the new ticketing app will be based on next generation e-ticketing system. It will be synchronized with the ticketing website also, which is missing in the current system.
Some of the features expected on IRCTC Rail Connect are as follows: Saved passenger details on the basis of recently-booked tickets, searching and booking train tickets, checking of reservation status or cancellation, getting upcoming journey alert
