New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's speech never seems to amuse the audience.
A day after the Gandhi scion decided to make a 'sexiest' comment on former First Lady Michelle Obama admiring utensils while cooking in her kitchen, he has come with another remark that is likely to take the internet by storm.
In an attempt to boost the confidence of its workers before the upcoming civic election, Rahul addressed a rally at Delhi's Ramlila Ground on Tuesday when he said, "Is baar jo bachche dengue ke kaaran mare, kya Congress ke samay wo marte thay? Nahi" (Did the children who die due to dengue this time succumb during the Congress' rule? No)
A day earlier, Rahul Gandhi had said that "Jab Obama ji ki patni America mein apni rasoi mein kuch pakaye, patilon ko dekh kar kahein sundar patila hai aur patile pe likha ho - Made in Jaunpur".
Gandhi further asserted that five years from now if an Indian farmer visits the United States, he would find the mobile phones manufactured in Uttar Pradesh. He went on to say, "We would emboss ‘Made in Uttar Pradesh’ over it. Any shop that the farmer visits, the entire stock would be from Uttar Pradesh."
Like always, this part of his speech also went viral on Twitter and the social media platform had a field day.
There were many who termed Gandhi's remarks on Michelle Obama as sexist and even suggested that a woman’s place is not only in the kitchen as Gandhi had tried to convey in his speech.
It is to be noted that it was not long ago that Gandhi was mocked over his 'potato factory' and 'coconut juice' remarks.
