Gangotri election result 2022: The counting for the assembly elections held in Gangotri Vidhan Sabha, which falls in the Garhwal region and Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, is currently underway. Gangotri is part of the Tehri Garhwal Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency.
The Gangotri seat witnessed a tough competition mainly between Vijaypal Singh Sajwan (INC), Mahavir Prasad (CPI), Jasveer Singh (UKD), Suresh Singh Chauhan (BJP), Navneet Uniyal (IND), Ajay Kothiyal (AAP), Vijay Bahuguna (SP), Babu Lal Ghoghiyal (JMBP), Budhi Lal (BSP). As of now, BJP's Suresh Singh Chauhan has overtaken INC's Vijaypal Singh Sajwan and is leading with 2770 votes in the Gangotri Assembly seat.

BJP candidate Suresh Singh Chauhan is now in the lead. Suresh Singh Chauhan has overtaken INC candidate Vijaypal Singh Sajwan in Gangotri and currently has a lead of 425 votes over the latter.
