Based on data from the National Family Health Survey, obesity has been defined as a chronic disease. Till now obesity was measured by BMI i.e. Body Mass Index. Actually, in this method of measuring obesity, the ratio of the height and weight of the person or child is calculated. After which BMI is calculated. Let us understand this with an example.
