“Our protest will continue until he is sent to jail…” Wrestlers demand action against Brij Bhushan

Demanding fair investigation, wrestlers who are protesting in Delhi demanded Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) be sent behind bars over sexual harassment allegations. Wrestler Vinesh Phogat said, “Today the court's decision has come but we do not trust the Delhi Police. We have been sitting for 6 days. Our next step will be based on the action of the Delhi Police. We demand that he (WFI President Brij Bhushan) be put in jail. I appeal to the PM on the basis of morality that he should be removed from every post. As long as they are in that position, they will misuse that position and influence the investigation. We have full faith in Supreme Court.” Wrestler Bajrang Punia said, “...Our protest will continue until he is sent to jail." Olympic gold medalist Sakshi Malik said, “We don’t have faith in Delhi Police. After the Supreme Court, they registered FIR. Firstly, we demand a fair investigation.” Delhi Police on Friday apprised the Supreme Court that it has agreed to register an FIR based on the allegations levelled by wrestlers against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
