On Sunday (July 11, 2021), Richard Branson fulfilled his childhood dream of flying to space. The British billionaire climbed more than 50 miles over the desert of New Mexico aboard his Virgin Galactic rocket plane and returned safely. This was the 22nd test flight of VSS Unity and the first successful test flight with full crew in the cabin.
