The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided not to boycott parliament and instead play an “aggressive” role in the Opposition.
Talking to visitors in Adiala Jail, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the incarcerated leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), alleged that the polls had been “stolen” and warned that the “tainted and dubious” results of the elections would cast a bad impact on the country’s politics.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has released 95 per cent of the provisional results of National and the four provincial assemblies.
Imran Khan's PTI has won 110 seats in NA - 118 in Punjab, 20 in Sindh, 66 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 4 in Balochistan.
PML-N has bagged 63 in NA - 127 in Punjab, five in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one in Balochistan.
PPPP has won 42 seats in NA, 6 in Punjab, 71 in Sindh and 4 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The official results of 19 seats in NA, 6 in Punjab, 11 in Sindh, 2 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 5 in Balochistan have yet to be announced by the ECP.

Dawn quoted PTI Spokesman Naeemul Haq as saying that his party is "Pakistan's greatest political power". Haq made the statement while he was addressing a press on Thursday. He also added that PTI would not only form the federal government and the KP government, but also the Punjab government.

Extremist and banned groups, including Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed-backed Allah-o-Akbar Tehreek, have failed miserably in Pakistan's general elections despite their massive campaign. Hundreds of individuals linked with hardline and banned groups were competing in the polls but so far, according to the unofficial results, none of them was seen as winning a seat in the national or provincial assemblies.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's (PTI's) Aamir Liaquat appears to be comfortably leading in NA-245 in Karachi, reported Dawn news. Seats NA-135, NA-3, NA-54 has also been bagged by PTI. Malik Karamat Ali Khokar won NA-135 Lahore XIII with 64,765 votes. Saleem Rehman won NA-3 Swat-II with 68,162 votes while Asad Umar bagged NA-54 Islamabad-III with 56,945 votes.

As per latest unofficial trends PPP's Zulfiqar Bachani has won NA-224 Tando Allahyar election with 80,230 votes, PTI's Khurram Shehzad Nawaz secured NA-52 Islamabad-1 with 64,690 votes

The CEC's presser came hours after PML -Nawaz president Shahbaz Sharif outrightly rejected the results alleging rigging of the election."Some five other parties including PPP have raised the rigging issue in polls. After consulting them, I will announce the future course of action. Pakistan has suffered today," he told journalists at the press conference in Lahore. "We will fight this injustice and use all options," he said, adding that there has been a "blatant violation" of the mandate.

With 42 per cent results are in. The latest show PTI leading on 112 seats while the PML-N is ahead on 65 seats. The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) is on the third spot with a lead in 43 seats.

In an early morning press conference, at around 4 am, the Election Commission of Pakistan said that "technical difficulties" were behind the unprecedented delay. Chief Election Commissioner Muhammad Raza Khan acknowledged that the delay in announcement of election results has "caused some annoyance". He added that the delay was on account of a new system - Results Transmission System - introduced by it. "We were implementing it for the first time. Therefore, there was some delay," he said, as reported by The Dawn.
