Google's Android One smartphone to sell from today

E-commerce firms Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal will sell the smartphone.

New Delhi: Google will launch its Android One smartphone today and there was an official leak of the phone on Flipkart on Sunday.

The phone, Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498, priced at Rs 6,999 was listed on the e-commerce website for few hours. Flipkart removed the listing later.

E-commerce firms Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal will sell the smartphone.

Android One was announced in the annual Googleevent that low cost phone manufacturers like Micromax, Spice and Karbonn will feature as the operating system.

According to the leaked details, the phone will sport a 4.5inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It will be powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, paired with Mali-400 graphics unit.

The smartphone will sport a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera with video recording.

Additionally, it will use a 1,700mAh battery and will support dual-SIM functionality.
