Microsoft is set to unveil a new phone for the selfie-obsessed people on September 4 at the IFA in Berlin.

New Delhi: Microsoft is set to unveil a new phone for the selfie-obsessed people on September 4 at the IFA in Berlin.

The company on Monday sent the invites for the event. It also teased an orange-themed image that read, " Ready for more" and " Join us for more face time"

The mid-range smartphone touted to be Lumia 730 was earlier dubbed as 'Superman'. According to media reports, last month, Microsoft's rumoured selfie-focussed phone was shown at the internal company meeting by Stephen Elop.

The specifications of the phone were leaked by a Vietnamese retailer last week. Accoding to the leaked specifications, the phone may sport a 4.7-inch HD display and will offer dual-SIM support.

The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM. The phone may also have 6.7 MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, which will be the highlight of the phone. The front camera is believed to be more powerful than Apple's iphone5.

The phone is expected to run on the latest version of Windows Phone 8.1.
