Three people were burnt to death in a car here after it caught fire mysteriously, police said on Friday.

The police recovered the badly burnt car between Sectors 56 and 61 near Ullawas village.

"The incident occurred around midnight. The car was badly burnt and two bodies were found on the rear seat. Another body was almost charred," fire officer Gulshan Kalra told IANS.

The police said the car was CNG fitted but the cause of the fire couldn`t be established.

The dead (aged around 30 years) were identified as Devender, Boby and Narender, on the bases of statements by villagers that they were missing from Thursday evening.

"The car was found parked by the road in a deserted area and there is no witness to the incident as of now," a police officer added.
