Six injured in clash between two communities

festival, police said on Monday.

The procession along with idols reached in front of a
mosque when a group of persons objected to the playing of band
and drums resulting in dispute between the two communities,
they added.

Later, the procession was pelted with stones and 5-6
rounds were fired with a 12-bore rifle by some unidentified
persons, Dhar SP, Chanchal Shekhar told reporters.

Though nobody suffered any injuries in the firing, six
persons were injured in stone-pelting incident, he said.

Police have registered a case against 17 persons in
this regard and arrested seven of them so far. Hunt is on to
trace others, he said.

Additional force has been deployed in the village
where situation is under control, he added.
