New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will soon quiz the captured Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Bahadur Ali for more leads in the Uri terror attack probe case, said reports on Wednesday.
NIA is seeking Bahadur Ali's help in identifying the four Uri attackers. Ali, who was captured in July, is expected to more light on the modus operandi and future designs of several Pakistan-based terror organisations like Jais-e-Mohammad, Lashkar-e-Toiba, Jamaat-ud-Dawaah etc.
According to reports, Ali has reportedly told the NIA investigators about Pakistan-based terror outfits' plans to carry out more open attacks on the Indian Army and other vital installations in the days to come.
The NIA had yesterday lodged an FIR in the Uri attack case and begin to investigate how four Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists managed to sneak inside the Army camp in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir and killed at least 18 jawans who were sleeping.
A team of NIA sleuths will also visit the site of the attack shortly to collect evidence.
The investigating agency will also collect DNA samples and finger prints of the slain terrorists.
All materials recovered from the killed terrorists including weapons, navigation maps and GPS will be handed over by the Army to the NIA for further investigations.
The GPS will be sent to the US to decode the route used by the terrorists to Indian territory. The forensic investigation of the device may also throw light on other aspects of the terror operation.
