Somasekhar inquiry commission to visit Mangalore and Udupi

Bangalore, Nov 14: The one-man commission of
inquiry led by former judge B K Somasekhara probing the attack
on churches and prayer halls is visiting Mangalore and Udupi
from November 18 to 20.

The commission is holding a meeting with public at the
Deputy Commissioner`s office in Mangalore on November 18 and
received petitions from people and organisations the next day,
an official release said in Bangalore Friday.

It would visit Udupi on November 20.

On September 14, churches and prayer halls in parts of
Mangalore, Udupi and Chikmagalur were attacked and few other
places the following days and the government ordered a
judicial probe into the incidents.
