The prestigious 69th National Film Awards ceremony was held at New Delhi's Vigyan Bhavan on Tuesday (October 17). The event celebrated the outstanding achievements of talented individuals in the film industry. President Draupadi Murmu presented the awards in various categories and also conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2021 on Ms Waheeda Rehman.

Pallavi Joshi won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 69th National Film Awards for her performance in 'The Kashmir Files'. Joshi's performance in The Kashmir Files was widely praised by critics and audiences alike. She played the role of Radhika Menon, a journalist who investigates the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in the early 1990s.
Best Female Playback Singer: Shreya Ghoshal
Shreya Ghoshal was awarded the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer at the 69th National Film Awards for her performance of the song 'Mayava Chayava' from the Tamil film Iravin Nizhal. This was Ghoshal's fifth National Film Award, making her the most awarded female playback singer in the history of the awards.
